Waterfront Rules

Swim Area
The Swim Area is the area between the metal dock and the wooden dock that is roped off with buoys.  Beyond the buoys the water becomes deep quickly.
The Swim area is intended for children, or parents with children.  No boats, paddleboards or kayaks are allowed for everyone’s safety. If inflated rafts and toys are large, please do not using them in the swimming area.  Parents and grandparents are need to keep a watchful eye on their children in the water, and large inflatables can make this difficult.
Keeping children apart (social distancing) as they play in the water is a challenge. Please help your fellow co-owner parents and grandparents by moving your children away from the waterslide after they have played on it for a short time.  The shallow area designated for children is exceptionally large and there are ample locations to play with snorkels, balls, and other water toys away from the slide.

The Raft
The raft has been a destination for young and old over the decades.  Everyone who learned to swim at Vasa couldn’t wait for the day they could swim to the raft without a life jacket.  Please do not tie up your boat to the raft.  It is designed for sunbathing, a place to rest, or to just have fun jumping into the lake.  Although it is difficult, please try to not overload the raft this summer as we social distance.

Fishing
Fishing is permitted off the dock at Anderson Landing, on the wooden dock and metal dock as long as it’s not in the swim area.  No fishing is permitted from a boat or watercraft between the raft and the swim area. State fishing laws must be observed.

Boating
No boats are allowed in the swim area, or the area between the swim area and the raft.  Please help keep your co-owners and their immediate family members safe this season by following these guidelines.

No Motors on the Lake
According to Rule #19 in our Rules and Regulations no motors of any kind, including electric motors are allowed on the lake at any time.  A watercraft is not permitted to be in the lake if the motor is attached, even if it will not be used, this includes trolling motors.

Remember swimming in the lake is at your own risk.  Supervision of children is absolutely required.  Lifesaving equipment is reserved for emergenices, and children should not be allowed to play with the life rings.

Lakefront Playground
The playground is closed for the summer season to protect against the spread of COVID-19 infection.
